How To Test for Motion with CNC Professional Diagnostic Tools
Why use the Test Motion Feature
Camsoft CNC Professional controller software provides a great feature for testing axis motion. Motion testing is used to help set up a new motor. Use test after a new servo drive and motor have been connected to a motion controller. The test can help to determine if the controller and a servo drive are wired and connected properly. Additionally, it can also be used for trouble shooting the motion, wiring and connection, or set up of an existing servo or stepper motor and drive.
Where is the Test Motion Feature
The test motion feature is part of the Diagnose window. Use the Diagnostics Icon button located on the main Operator Interface to display it. Locate the Test motion feature on the button half of the Diagnose Window, labeled Motion And Spindle Testing.
